design more inclusively

The IDEA toolkit helps people to gather insights for

creating spaces and experiences where people thrive,

to design inclusively and to train the muscles of empathy.

It's never been so important to be inclusive from the start

What can you do to empower people to live and work in better places that are inclusive, accessible and guarantee equity

and diversity?

The IDEA toolkit offers scientifically validated, flexible tools and training to help you solve wicked problems about inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility.

The science behind

The IDEA toolkit was developed within the Inclusive Design Group at the University of Cambridge by Dr. Matteo Zallio with funding from European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement N° 846284.

In-depth qualitative and quantitative research was performed by studying standards and regulations, analyzing scientific literature, interviewing experts, running surveys and co-designing with professionals.

Several scientific peer-reviewed articles were published and a complete list can be found here.

The knowledge developed with this research, along with the Inclusive Design Canvas and the IDEA Audit, helps professionals and businesses to think and act more inclusively by raising the bar of accessibility and inclusion.
